Schaumburg, Ill. — Omron Electronic Components has launched an industrial-style G2RV slim relay with a width of 6 mm, offering space savings in industrial applications.

Rated at 6 A, the G2RV is available in six versions with voltages ranging from 12 Vdc to 230 Vac. The relay and socket are sold as a combination, with relays available separately for replacement purposes. The sockets are currently available in the conventional screw terminal (Box Clamp) connection style, with a push-in terminal style soon to be released.

The G2RV incorporates a reinforced Quick Connect (QC) style terminal, which prevents the tendency to bend during replacement. In addition, the larger quick-connect surface ensures a more reliable connection between the socket and relay. Other key features include mechanical and LED indictors for visual indication of relay function and actuation status.

A range of accessories and options are offered including an output interface module to quickly connect a PLC to multiple G2RV sockets, cross-bars in various colors, a selection of poles, and identification labels in both alphanumerical and bar code. This relay system meets international standards such as cUL, cCSA, VDE, RoHS, and CE.

Pricing: Cost per G2RV relay/socket combination ranges from $10.50 to $13.00 in quantities of 1,000.
Availability: Standard delivery is 12 to 14 weeks.
