Presented by: Virage Logic and Apache Design Solutions Apache Design Solutions
Apache is an EDA software supplier of innovative next-generation silicon integrity platforms for low-power, high-performance system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs. By considering all sources of noise that impacts the design, such as power, signal, package / system IO, substrate, and temperature, Apache's silicon signoff platform enables designers of leading networking, wireless, communication, consumer, and semiconductor companies to detect, fix, and prevent design weaknesses that can result in reduced yield or failed silicon. Apache's vendor neutral platform enables designers to adopt any industry's standard physical design flow and is certified by TSMC's Reference Flow (NYSE: TSM). Apache has direct sales and support offices worldwide with over 40 customers, including 7 of the top 10 semiconductor companies. For more information, visit www.apache-da.com

Virage Logic Corporation
Founded in 1996, Virage Logic Corporation rapidly established itself as a technology and market leader in providing advanced embedded memory intellectual property (IP) for the design of complex integrated circuits. Today the company is a global leader in semiconductor IP platforms comprising embedded memories, logic, and I/Os and is pioneering the development of a new class of IP called Silicon Aware IP. Silicon Aware IP tightly integrates Physical IP (memory, logic and I/Os) with the embedded test, diagnostic, and repair capabilities of Infrastructure IP to help ensure manufacturability and optimized yield at the advanced process nodes. Virage Logic's highly differentiated product portfolio provides higher performance, lower power, higher density and optimal yield to foundries, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and fabless customers who develop products for the consumer, communications and networking, hand-held and portable, and computer and graphics markets. The company uses its FirstPass-Silicon Characterization Lab for certain products to help ensure high quality, reliable IP across a wide range of foundries and process technologies. Headquartered in Fremont, California, Virage Logic has R&D, sales and support offices worldwide. Overview:
Reduce leakage utilizing a methodology that combines low-power semiconductor IP with market-leading power integrity and analysis solutions.
Portable and handheld devices such as cellular phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and MP3 players continue to evolve and become more complex. At the same time, the market demands more functionality consolidation into a single product platform. As designs are manufactured at process nodes below 90nm, "power management" becomes the key design challenge faced by engineers.
Design teams are exploring the most effective way to reduce power and manage leakage, and they are often confused by the myriad of choices available in determining a Spice accurate sign-off technique.
Join Apache Design Solutions and Virage Logic to learn how the right choice of semiconductor IP and silicon sign-off analysis tools can provide significant power reduction and leakage management for silicon sign-off of low-power designs.
What Will be Covered:
In this informative webinar, Apache and Virage Logic will detail their advanced low-power solutions - spanning semiconductor IP to full-chip power integrity and analysis sign-off. Specifically, this webinar will discuss:
- Low-power techniques available in semiconductor IP, such as standard cells and memories
- Design and analysis techniques for controlling leakage power
- How to effectively make tradeoffs between power and performance
